Metal Casting is a manufacturing process in which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. Common metal casting are:

  • Requires such coating due to susceptibility to corrosion

  • Can form very thin walls

  • Long die life due to low melting point

  • Use of a hot chamber machine
