Product details

There are numerous applications for centrifugal pumps, as they rely on centrifugal forces to create a rise in pressure. The wide range of uses showcases the versatility and effectiveness of these pumps.

Turbomachines known as centrifugal pumps utilize the power of rotating impellers to propel liquids effectively. These pumps function by harnessing the centrifugal force generated by the impeller's rotation. The liquid to be pumped enters the suction port of the pump on the suction side, aligning axially with the impeller. As the impeller spins within the pump, it exerts centrifugal force on the liquid, causing acceleration and subsequent propulsion.

Increasing the velocity of a fluid causes the dynamic pressure to rise. As the fluid exits the impeller, it experiences deceleration at the discharge port due to the buildup of liquid. Consequently, the dynamic pressure is converted into static pressure, a phenomenon further explained in the Venturi Effect article. This leads to a significant increase in static pressure at the discharge port. This elevated pressure empowers the liquid to overcome a specific geodetic head.

Product Specification

Radial flow pumps are capable of providing high pressure heads, but tend to have a lower flow rate compared to axial flow pumps. To achieve high flow rates with a radial flow pump, multiple pumps may need to be connected in parallel. On the other hand, axial flow pumps offer high volumetric flow rates but have a limited pressure head of around 15 meters. To increase pressure heads with axial flow pumps, they may have to be connected in a series of pumps. A good compromise between axial and radial flow pumps can be achieved with mixed flow pumps. These pumps offer the best of both worlds, providing high flow rates and pressure heads at moderate levels.

Packing, Storage, Handling and Transportation

The packaging of a pump includes plywood cases with fixed timbers and a plastic film inside. The single set of the pump will be carefully packed in these cases to ensure its safety during transportation.

To ensure the packing is done correctly without any damage, we will have container loading observed in our factory. This process will be closely monitored to guarantee high-quality packing standards are maintained.
