YN-SJ70 Automatic Water Bath Leakage Testing Machine

Automatic water bath leakage testing machine plays an important role of quality control for aerosol products. With 3 minutes immersion inside hot water at temperature 48-52 centigrade, if there is no bubble or blasting, then no risk of leakage.


Why need this machine?

Aerosol products can be taken as a small pressurized container with propellant filled inside. If the propellant is escaped because of some reasons, material inside the can is not able to be sprayed out, suppose this defective product is delivered to market, then series of headache issues will be triggered, like quality complain, rejection claim etc., also impact to brand building. But with automatic water bath leakage testing machine, this can never happen, leaking products or potential leaking products would be all identified and rejected from production line by internal QC management, not possible to be transferred to customers' hands.


Working Process:

Water bath leaking tester is composed of main machine, water tank and control cabinet. Main machine is for loading/unloading aerosol cans to/from hanging clips, and water tank is to hold and heat up hot water. Products are in circular travel in water tank by chain, so that the immersion time is no less than 3 minutes and heat exchanging is fully. During the heat up process, propellant inside aerosol can expands resulting in internal pressure arising, therefore small bubbles comes out from defective products which are with poor crimping quality, and it is possible the bubbles are getting bigger and continuously floating up, then the supervisor can easily recognize the leaking one and take it out.


Machine Configuration:

● Explosion proof motor with Ex certification.

● Overload safety switch, machine stops automatically in case overload takes place.

● Anti-block switch, machine switches off automatically if there is any can blocked or jammed.

● Main machine is isolated by safe cabinet with tempered glass.

● Jacket water tank with insulation material, standard stainless steel 304, not 201.

● 2-stage drying systems, remove water drops on can body or inside valve cup.

● Three pieces heating tubes, 10 Kw heating power of each piece, steam heating system is alternative or both can be configured.

● Automatic thermal control system, always maintain a preset process temperature.

● V shape anti-drop spring in every hanging clip, avoid fatigue broken of the clips.

FAQ

Q1: The power consumption is so big, will the daily running cost be very high?

A1: When the temperature of hot water is lower than 48 centigrade, heating tubes are automatically powered on, when temperature is higher than 52 centigrade, heating tubes are switched off automatically. So the heating tubes are not working all time. There is a statistic around 20kw a day, including the heating up time at the beginning of a shift.


Q2: What are the consumable parts for the machine?

A2: The only possible consumable part is the hanging clips. Because under the affection of hot water and pressing force during can loading/unloading, sometime there will be fatigue broken. So 20 pieces of the hanging clips are delivered together with the machine free of charge, in total there are 200 pieces for a machine.


Q3: Is there any system that can identify and kick off the leaking products automatically?

A3: Regretfully there is no such kind of system, the identification for the defective leaking products can only be done by operator so far.
